The foundation of Insulated Wire is the oil and gas industry.

In 1970, IW’s founder, Mr. Nixon, and his colleagues developed a lamination technique for Teflon™ that enabled a smaller diameter cable with a higher breakdown voltage than any other cable available in the market at that time. This lamination process is the core of our business, and we continue to supply the data logging/oil exploration market with this type of product to this day.

All IW wire and cable is manufactured in our facility using our proprietary lamination technique, using silver plated copper and Teflon to ensure reliability and performance in harsh environment applications. With a wide range of standard wire sizes, IW provides our oil and gas industry customers and partners with a unique product line and the option to easily create a custom cable solution.
